OUR STORY
Carl Barton founded Aardvark Sweeping Services on July 1, 1996. He had always wanted to be in business for himself. Prior to starting Aardvark, Carl had been the General Manager for Pepsi Cola in Memphis & New Orleans. One night while he was having dinner with Ronnie Wynn, a fellow Pepsi Manager, they began discussing their future plans. Ronnie stated “I’ll get a broom and sweep parking lots before I work here the rest of my life.”

Carl thought about Ronnie’s statement for days. He called some of the store managers that he knew and asked how they got their parking lots cleaned. The store managers said they had tried all of the services in town and had not been satisfied with the service. In fact, they said they would be more than willing to change to another company. After a few months of research he decided to take the plunge and started Aardvark Sweeping Services. Soon after it got started, Ronnie joined the company.
